Nancy Parshall is my Little Sister. She had a very difficult life until she met John Parshall.
While visiting her during the last days of her life I found a family full of love. Her Grandchildren would set on her bed and talk to her even when she could not respond. They talked about her going to heaven and how someday they will see her there. They put teddy bears on her lap and tenderly hugged and kissed her. I watched teen aged boys not only hug and kiss her but set and talk to her and then hug and kiss there father. As I set holding her hand I felt a comforting hand on my shoulder. It was not one of the adults but again one of the teen age boys helping me to control my tears. While by myself feeling sad a young girl would seem to know I needed a loving hug, always at the right time. A teen age boy that has a constant flow of friends comforting him shows what kind a friendship he must hold in his heart.
I watched her daughter care for her not only with the love of a daughter but the compassion of a Samaritan while also taking care of the family. I watched a loving husband and father touch Nancy on the cheek and tell her he will be ok. He knew this would be her concern. He held back the tears most of the time and smiled every time she opened her eyes. His brother stayed at his side willing to do anything he could to help. Even daring taking two teen age girls to by school cloths. Most of all I remember when I arrived several days before Nancy passed and when they told her I was there she turned to me and smiled. She was in such pain and could not talk but I knew I was loved by my little sister. I soon learned I was loved by her family.
I thank the Lord and Nancy for letting me become one of the Family.
If you can help John and the family please do but most of all please keep them in your prayers.
I Love you Little Sister. You will be remembered and you will live on in your Family.
